When The Wind Changed is the new collaboration between long time comrades - Thorts and DJ Silence. After a friendship of 15 years and a bond over the love of hip hop music of the more alternate variety a collaboration between the two was inevitable. Having worked together so well on Silence’s first release - ‘In The Shadows’ on the song ‘Stressed ‘ with Mathas it was clear they’d eventually work together in the future.

On this EP you will hear from the more upbeat side of Thorts (who most will know and appreciate as a veteran of hip hop in Australia) as he shares with us stories of travel, family and the ability to feel good inside. With himself admitting that these are some of the more positive rhymes he has written to date. The backdrop to these rhymes provided by DJ Silence are what listeners love about his production, subtle yet having the ability to draw out emotion with fine sample selections, both melodic and percussive that are chopped and looped to great effect.

This release was a long time coming and we hope for much more in the years ahead!
